Sean Rost, a lifelong Jefferson City resident, earned his PhD from the University of Missouri and specializes in twentieth century US, Missouri, and African American history. Rost also holds a master's degree in history from Lincoln University and a bachelor's degree in history education from William Woods University. Rost joined SHSMO as Oral Historian in January 2018. In 2022, he became Assistant Director, Research.
