Bio: 

Japheth Knopp is a second year Ph.D. student and teaching assistant focusing on materialist history of the United States in the 20th century.  He currently serves as the History Graduate Department representative in the GPC.  He recently published an article, “Negro League Baseball, Black Community, and the Socio-Economic Effects of Integration” in The Baseball Research Journal and has two chapters in an upcoming book about the last Negro Leagues World Series in 1948 scheduled for publication in 2017.
