“I think my degree in history absolutely prepared me for life after college. Not only did I learn how to persevere through writing an honors thesis but I also learned to read and think critically. Also, I feel that I have a solid foundation in which I perceive the world. I believe my history degree prepared me to analyze current events with an eye to the past - always remembering the lessons learned from previous administrations, community actions, and more. On an individual level, I am now fully prepared for graduate school as I am used to reading critically and writing heavily researched papers equivalent with graduate school expectations.”
