I study the dissemination of ideas in Germany during the Renaissance and Reformation under Professor John Frymire. My Master’s thesis “The Pulpits and the Damned: Witchcraft in German Postils, 1520-1615” examined discourse of witchcraft and magic in German sermon collections.
While most of my interests are centered on religion, I also am interested in the development of scientific ideas in the late Medieval and early modern period. I am particularly interested in how people responded to, and explained, climate change in the late Medieval and early modern periods.
